Road map – how you find the Villa  |  Infrastructure  |  Activities


You are coming from Siena and the Strada del Vino Chianti Classico:
Siena in direction Gaiole, Montevarchi. In the village Gaiole after the chirch turn to your left in direction Spaltenna, Vertine.
Follow the street uphill and choose the second street (ca. 250 m)at your right. After about 500 meters turn to your right at the aspahltic „Strada privata“ of Villa Cavarchione.

You are coming from A1 (Milano-Roma):
About 30 km after the freeway-exit „Firenze sud“ in direction Rome you take the exit „Valdarno“ and go in direction Montevarchi.Follow the road signs Siena and Gaiole. After about 20 minutes at the you reach the village Gaiole.
Choose the street before the chirch to your right and follow the street uphill and choose the second street (ca. 250 m)at your right. After about 500 meters turn to your right at the aspahltic „Strada privata“ of Villa Cavarchione.

Infrastructure
Gaiole offers shops to cover the daily demand for food and domestic needs. 800 meters away from the villa you find a supermaket, a greencrocer, a farmacy, a bar etc.

The next bigger city is „Montevarchi“ with all infrastructural facilities (car mechanic, hospital, big supermarket)



Activities
The climate is very pleasant caused by the altitude of 500 meters and so makes a considerable contribution to your repose.

The villa is an ideal starting point for the artificially and culturally historical cities Florence (45 km) and Siena (23 km). The medieval cities Arrezzo and San Gimigniano are about one hour’s drive away. The Vine-Villages Radda at a distance of 8 km, Greve (20 km) and Castellina in Chianti (15 km).

Special sights are the Vine-Yards „Castello di Meleto“ and „Castello Brolio“ with it’s medieval castles, which can be seen directly from the villa.

The Surrounding is an eldorado for bikers and cabriolet-drivers. The hilly Vine-countryside is inviting you to biking-tours, hiking and airing.

Sporting activities, f.e. horse-riding or tennis can be executed in the immediate neighbourhood. Please enquire and we organize it for you! Golf-enthusiastics should not miss out on the Golf-Club Ugolino nearby Florence (ca. 50 minutes).

The whole year through celbrations and events are taking place for locals and visitors o the Chianti. The many historical places are telling stories about the Seneses and Florentines and the nobilities of the region.
